It's our last week of the Summer Reading Program and we're going to make one of my favorite things! A fairy house or gnome home can be as simple or as complex as you wish. For mine I used a paper towel cardboard tube that I cut down a little bit, glued some paper "bark" and dried moss onto it, and created a roof with some card stock. I found a little piece of some faux greenery to add to the top. If I put this outside it would not hold up to the elements! This is an inside house, so keep that in mind. If you missed out on a kit this month, don't worry! We are sharing the directions for the craft here are on our blog, and the supplies needed are easy to find. You may already have them in your home! The December Take It & Make It craft was a kit to make two little gnomes. Make one gnome for yourself, make another to give to a loved one. Make an entire army of gnomes!! These can also be made into ornaments for a Christmas tree. Click here for printable directions.
